The Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (KNDF) acknowledged the significant support provided by the Three Brotherhood Alliance, stating that the weapons, ammunition, and military assistance received have been instrumental in their ground fighting efforts.
On May 31, marking the second anniversary of the establishment of the Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (KNDF), Khun Bi Htoo, the chairman of KNDF, made a statement.
In his speech on the second anniversary of the KNDF, Chairman Khun Bi Htoo expressed, "The Three Brotherhood Alliance, consisting of the Myanmar National Truth and Justice Party/Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNTJP/MNDAA), Palaung State Liberation Front/Ta'ang National Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA), and United League of Arakan/Arakan Army (ULA/AA), provided us with crucial military support, including arms and ammunition. This assistance enabled the KNDF to launch a powerful revolution and establish a firm political presence that continues to thrive today."
According to the KNDF, their primary source of aid has been in the form of weapons and ammunition, and they have been receiving this support ever since the formation of the KNDF up until the present time.
However, the KNDF did not provide any specific information regarding the details of the assistance they have received.
In addition, the KNDF has received military training and techniques from the Karen National Liberation Army (KNU/KNLA) and has received assistance from the Karenni Army (KA) as well as other forces within the state.
"The support we received has been immensely valuable. Since the establishment of the KNDF, we have been able to engage in ground combat effectively, thanks to the provision of weapons capable of countering the Military Council. This assistance has played a significant role in our battles and has been instrumental in our efforts," expressed a KNDF news and information official.
In their two-year anniversary statement, the KNDF also affirmed their commitment to collaborate through the Karenni Consultative Council (KSCC) with the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC), National Unity Government (NUG), and Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) on matters concerning the positions and processes required for the establishment of the Federal Democratic Union.
Our attempts to contact the Three Brotherhood Alliance for assistance were unsuccessful due to communication difficulties.
