Telenor Myanmar and Plan International have partnered to launch a nationwide Digital Literacy, Online Safety and Resilience Project, telecompaper reported.
The 2-year initiative aims to educate 740,000 youths aged 10 to 18 on online safety, and responsible use of internet, as well as develop their digital skills. Telenor and Plan also plan to work to integrate digital safety content into the national curriculum, with the approval of Ministry of Education.
Myanmar is one of the seven countries covered by a 3-year global partnership agreement between Plan International and the Telenor Group, announced in September 2018 at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
