Day celebration in Loikaw Drone attack Kayah State, 1 dead and 8 injured

One person was killed and eight others were injured, after a drone attack during the 71 st of Kayah State Day organized by the Military Council at the State Hall in Loikaw on January 15, the State Administration Council (SAC) reported.

A civilian was killed, 8 civilians were injured. according to SAC’s news page. The drone attack took place during the 71st Anniversary of Kayah State Day, which falls on January 15, was staged by the regime under tight security.

Residents of Loikaw said that after the attack by the drone attack, the Military Council has tightened security everywhere in Loikaw.

Khu Plu Reh, Secretary General of the KNPP said that the Karenni National Progressive Party (KNPP) has no information about the Kayah State Day attack.

“ We don’t know anything,” he said.

The Military Council held a street opening in Loikaw to mark Kayah State Day and planned to celebrate with galleries. This morning, a plane was flying over the Karenni land, and the sounds of artillery fire were constantly being heard, locals said.
