Chin Brotherhood Alliance on the Path towards Liberating Southern Chin State from Junta control

The Chin Brotherhood Alliance is intensifying efforts to secure the remaining hill-based tactical command, the 140th Infantry Battalion, and pressing its offensive in southern Chin State's Matupi town, after recent capture of  the Junta's 304th Light Infantry Battalion base.

Operation Chin Brotherhood (Operation CB) aims to liberate southern Chin State from Junta control, to become a Junta-free area, with the Chin Brotherhood Alliance leading the initiative alongside support from the Arakha Army (AA) and the Yaw Army (YA). On June 9, the coalition initiated an offensive against Junta positions in Matupi.

The Chin Brotherhood Alliance announced on June 18 that it had captured the 304th Light Infantry Battalion, along with a howitzer, weapons, and ammunition.

The Chin Brotherhood Alliance also declared its escalation of offensive operations aimed at seizing Junta’s remaining military fortifications in Matupi.

The Chin Brotherhood Alliance commended Chin people both at home and abroad for their financial contributions that facilitated the military victory in capturing a Junta battalion base, as well as praising the bravery, dedication, courage, and other qualities of the comrades who fought valiantly. It also expressed solemn remembrance for the sacrifices made by those who lost their lives or were injured during the operation, vowing that their ultimate sacrifices will never be forgotten.

The Chin Brotherhood Alliance also encouraged the people to sustain their contributions to achieve further military objectives and establish Junta-free areas.

As part of Operation CB, the Chin Brotherhood Alliance launched an offensive on May 27 targeting Tedim town in northern Chin State, seizing the Junta's power office and the Tower Hill encampment.

According to a statement from the Chin Brotherhood Alliance, during the clashes in Tedim, 7 Junta soldiers were killed, 9 were captured alive, and 17 various types of weapons were seized.
