The Arakan Army (AA) captured the Junta’s No. 9 Advanced Training School near Kanni village in Minbya Township of Rakhine State on February 26th, according to an AA (Arakan Army) statement.
The No. 9 Advanced Training School was subjected to continuous and intense attacks by AA, starting at 10:45 am on February 17th and lasting for ten consecutive days, as reported in the statement.
Despite fierce resistance from Junta forces, including airstrikes and artillery barrages, they ultimately surrendered the No. 9 Advanced Training School within ten days. The statement also disclosed that numerous Junta soldiers were found dead, and a substantial quantity of weapons and ammunition were confiscated from the premises of the training school.
The statement also conveyed AA’s profound respect for all those who bravely fought and made sacrifices during this significant military victory.
AA continues to launch offensives against Junta's camps in Rathedaung, Ponnagyun, Buthidaung, and Maungdaw townships, which were targeted in previous days, with the aim of achieving their complete capture and the elimination of all Junta bases in Rakhine State.
