The Arakha Army (AA) is aiding the Chin Brotherhood Alliance which commenced an operation to capture Matupi town, in Chin State on June 9th, according to a source speaking to Narinjara News
“The AA is helping to capture Matupi town. Once the Chin resistance forces secure the tactical operation commands, they will manage the operational mechanisms”, the AA source said. Matupi is linked to Paletwa town, currently under AA’s control.
On June 13, the Chin Brotherhood Alliance announced the start of Operation Chin Brotherhood (Operation CB), which commenced on June 9 to capture Matupi town, supported by allied forces such as the Yaw Army.
.Matupi Police Station and General Administration Office have already been fully seized by the Chin Brotherhood Alliance and its allies. The resistance forces are also advancing their offensive against the 304th Light Infantry Battalion.
As the battle for Matupi intensifies, local reports indicate that Junta forces are deploying nearly constant airstrikes to counter the resistance's offensives.
