The total number of teachers in Chin State before the Military Council seized the power was estimated at 13,000, and the number of CDM teachers registered after the coup is about 7,000 on average in the remaining townships except for Kanpet and Mindat Township which the CDM list is not available.
Most of the teachers who joined the CDM in Chin State are from Hakha Township.
The current enrollment list is not from all 9 townships in Chin State, but from 7 townships, excluding Mindat and Kanplet Townships.
The situation in these townships is so daunting that people do not dare to enter the township.
