14 Karenni State Police Stations Now Operational and Focused on Community- based Policing

Ko Bo Bo, spokesperson for Karenni State Police (KSP), informed Kantarawaddy Times that 14 police sta tions have been established in Karenni State already to deliver public police services.

"KSP has opened up to 14 stations for now and is serving the public with community-centered police work," he said.

The 14 police stations operated by the KSP are situated within Karenni State and in Shan-Karenni border areas controlled by resistance forces.

KSP's law enforcement personnel have conducted visits to apprehend individuals engaged in drug-related activities, rape, and domestic violence, occasionally collaborating with resistance forces in apprehending suspects.

Furthermore, KSP is involved in educational initiatives, organization, and advocacy efforts aimed at addressing public safety, law enforcement matters, and other essential sectors.

Ko Bo Bo added that KSP is currently focused on distributing educational pamphlets on traffic and road rules to mitigate traffic accidents.
