Three Muslim youths suspected to be residents of Burma (Myanmar) were detained by the Bangladesh police on Thursday, while they were preparing to fly for Saudi Arabia.
The detainees had reportedly used fake Bangladeshi passports and the police caught them in the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka as they were crossing the departure lounge.
The Dhaka police have not revealed their place of residences in Burma though they are being identified as Mohammad Imran, aged 25, Mohammad Asadullah, 22, and Mohammad Jafor Alam, 22.
The airport authority found the possession of fake passports by the three youths in the regular process and then handed over them to the police, when the law enforcement agency had lodged an FIR with the airport police station.
Till date, not less than 20 Muslim citizens from Burma were reportedly arrested with the fake Bangladeshi passports in Dhaka international airport after the incidences of sectarian violence broke out in many places of Arakan province during the last June and October.
