Myanmar opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi arrived in Mongolia on Sunday to participate in the 7th Ministerial Conference of Community of Democracies (CoD).

 Yingluck Shinawatra / FacebookMongolia's official news agency, Montsame, reported that Suu Kyi is one of the guests of honor at the summit and is attending at the invitation of Mongolian President Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj.

Suu Kyi is scheduled to give a lecture together with Elbegdorj on April 30 at Government House in the capital, Ulan Batur.

Other notable dignitaries at the CoD conference include: Yingluck Shinawatra, the Premier of Thailand; Alfio Piva Mesen, the First Vice-President of Costa Rica; H.E. Mr. Namadi Sambo, the Vice-President of Nigeria; Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the UN Under-Secretary-General and Director-General of the UN Office at Geneva; Catherine Ashton, the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy for the European Union; Dr. Tawakkol Karman, the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate from Yemen; and Maria Leissner, the Secretary-General of the Community of Democracies.
