A total of 124 contestants from 11 countries are driving 31 cars in the rally which began on November 26.

The contestants will enter Burma at Myawaddy on December 11, spending the night in Pa-an, the ministry said. The following day they will race to Burma’s capital Naypyitaw, and then on to Mandalay on December 13.

Passing through Kalay and Tamu, the racers will leave Burma into Guwahati in India on December 15.

The government of India and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized the very first ASEAN-India Car Rally in 2004 when 60 cars—an average of four cars per country—competed.
