Recently, a person who had to pay a fine because she failed to pay the tax published the receipt on Facebook.

When Mizzima contacted an official from the Rail Transportation Department about the case, he said that anyone who wants to bring a laptop or more than one camera on a train must pay the tax in advance at the freight charges department at the railway station.

The official said that the law was imposed in late 1999.
