“The conference will be held on July 21 and it will be the party’s first conference, but there is no official information about how many representatives will attend the meeting,” said a member.

“In the conference the future work schedule of the CPP for the forthcoming general election will be discussed. Now we can form a township level working committee in Falam town, Chin state and Kalemyo, Sagaing division. We have to do organizational work in other towns. At the same time, we will discuss nominating candidates for the election at the conference,” said pu Nangthan, CPP chairman (1).

The delay in setting up of township level working committees in other townships was because doubts existed among leaders, though the details were not given out.
