Pass percentage for Class X stands at 16.38 in Chin state

16 June 2010: The results of the Board Examinations of 2010 in Chin state, western Burma was published in the second week of June, where 16.38 per cent of the students passed the tenth standard.

“In the 2010 academic session, 1426 students have passed the boardexaminations among 8706 candidates, who appeared in Chin sate,” said a teacher in Hakha town.

There were 3828 male candidates and 4878 female candidates, who appeared for the examinations in Chin state. Of these 651 males and 775 females were successful.

In Chin state, one examine got letter marks in five subjects, one got letter marks in four subjects, 10 students got letter marks in three subjects, seven students got letter marks in two subjects and 83 students got letter marks in one subject. In all 102 students received letter marks in one subject or the other. These are listed under all townships result sheets of the No. 2 Education Department (upper Burma) in Mandalay city 2010.

The result reveals that 24 per cent have passed under the Tonzang township examination department out of 12 departments in nine townships of Chin state. Paletwa Township recorded a pass percentage of 7.84 in Chin state, which is the lowest percentage compared to other townships.

The current Education Director in Chin state is Mr. Mint Soe.
