The Election Commission has disqualified a number of candidates, including 15 from Chin state, who did not submit details of expenditure during their election campaign within the stipulated time.

The New Light of Myanmar said that three candidates of the Chin Progressive Party, three of the Chin National Party, six of the National Unity Party, one of the National Democratic Force, one of the Ethnic National Development Party and one candidate of The Union of Myanmar Federation of National Politics were disqualified by the Election Commission of Burma on Tuesday.

The candidates of all political parties were notified to submit the expenses incurred while campaigning to the Commission within 60 days from the date the election results were announced.

The Commission has stated that disqualified representatives cannot attend the present Hlawttaw term.

3. Mr. Hla Ma, State Hlawttaw representative of Ethnic National Development Party from Hakha township

4. Mr. Thuam Kho Thang, State Hlawttaw representative of CPP from Teddim township

5. Mr. Ling Ki, Phituh Hlawttaw representative of CNP from Kanpetlet township

6. Mr. Lang Za Mang, Amyota Hlawttaw representative of CNP from Teddim township

7. Mr. Kam Lian Thang, State Hlawttaw representative of CNP from Teddim township

8. Mr. Biak Kam, Amyota hlawttaw representative of NUP from Hakha township

9. Mr. Lwin Kho Han, Amyota hlawttaw representative of NUP from Tonzang township

10. Mr. Thang Ki, Amyota hlawttaw representative of NUP from Paletwa township
