Maungdaw, Burma:  An informer of Nasaka Burma's border security force and police was killed by unknown miscreants on December 2, at night in Bakkha Ghona Dill, four miles from Maungdaw town north, said a trader from the locality on condition of anonymity.

The informer was identified as Abdu Khader (32), hailing from Kawliza Baka village of Bakka Ghona village tract in Maungdaw Township.

The body was sent to Maungdaw General Hospital by police for postmortem on December 3.  After which it was sent to his home village and buried.

No one has been arrested till now, said a villager.

Khader was notorious in his own village and neighboring villages. So, some of the villagers killed him to free themselves from harassment of the Nasaka and police because he used to be their informer.

A group of Nasaka personnel used to stay at a near by village at night and trouble neighbouring villagers with the help of Abdu Khader.
