Teknaf, Bangladesh: The Fayazee Welfare Foundation (FWF), a local NGO provided relief material to poor families at Nattaung Para of Teknaf, a border town of Bangladesh, today at about 1:00 pm, said our correspondent.
The FWF provided ten kilograms of rice, one kg of sugar, one kg of vermicelli and one tin of condensed milk to each family of the poor villagers of Nattaung village in Teknaf union. The village has Rohingya and Bengali communities.
Some refugees from unregistered Leda camp fled to Nattaung Para for taking shelter because of facing many problems in Leda camp. At least 25 families fled from Leda camp. These refugees are also getting relief, according to a refugee.
About 450 families were received relief goods and the concerned authority gave them full security.
"This relief is of great help to the poor villagers as the prices of essential commodities have gone up," a village elder said.
