On April 18, two ships loaded with fish reached Teknaf land port from Burma under the agency of Hashim Company Limited.
The same day, four ships loaded with 10,000 bags of rice (per bag 50 kg), 4,500 bags (per bag 50 kg) of plums and one ship loaded with Ka Yin, teak and crane reached Teknaf land port under the agency of Haji Yunus Company Limited.
13,000 rice bags reached at Teknaf land port by boat on April 13 and also 18,000 rice bags reached at Teknaf land port on April 11.
Besides, 12,000 packets of Hilsa fish (one packet is equal to 10 to 20 pieces) reached at Teknaf port on April 9, according to their size.
A trader from Teknaf said that most of the people in Chittagong district depend on Burmese fish. If Burmese fish is not imported timely from Burma , the prices of the fish go up in Bangladesh .
