Teknaf, Bangladesh: Five Burmese refugees were critically injured in a taxi accident today at around 7: 45 am, while they were going to Teknaf to work from the Dum Dum Mea makeshift camp, said son of Zura Khatun from the camp.

The injured Burmese refugees are living in makeshift camp or Tal of Dum Dum Mea without getting any support from any quarter so that they had gone to Teknaf to do daily work.
 
The accident occurred in Niataung Para under the Teknaf union when the five Burmese refugees were going to Teknaf in a taxi. A truck loaded with goods rammed the taxi from behind and it turned turtle. All five refugee passengers were injured badly. Of them, Zura Khatun and Md. Taher were critically injured. Nearby Bangladesh Naval personnel rushed to the spot and sent them to Teknaf hospital, said a refugee from Tal.
 
The injured refugees have been identified as Zura Khatun (57), Noor Ayesha (48), Md. Taher(32), Shamshu (35) and Md,Alam (28).
