Rohingya man trampled by elephant
A Rohingya man was killed after being run over by a wild elephant in Bandarban District, Bangladesh said the man’s friend Nazi.
Mohammad Hussain (67), son of late Mokalas Rahman, was attacked after leaving a mosque where he was praying in Jarulia Chari section of the Naikhonchhari Upazila.
Rafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Naikhonchhari Police Station, confirmed that Hossain was instantly killed by the stampeding elephant after he was offering his nightly Isha prayers at the mosque.
Mohammad Hussain was devoted to his community. He leaves behind his wife, 2 sons and 4 daughters.
