. The contraband included 953 cans of beer, 132 bottles of Burmese liquor, 85 bottles of locally produced liquor, nearly one kilogram of marijuana, and 11,983 Yaba tablets.

Contraband liquor, marijuana, and Yaba tablets have been smuggled to Bangladesh from Burma for many years. However, at present, the flow of narcotic drugs from Burma has been reduced, said a local elder from Teknaf.
