Maungdaw, Arakan State: The 3rd offering of provisions to monks’ ceremony is going to hold in Maungdaw today evening, according to an official from Maungdaw.
“The ceremony was organized by the Township Administration office together with other Maungdaw official and local Buddhist monasteries and organization.”
“More than 200 monks are waiting in Thiri Mangala Hall to join the ceremony which will hold in the evening.”
“The monks are from thirty monasteries from Maungdaw Township.”
The local Buddhist community from Maungdaw, who wish to offer provisions and various articles to monks, are waiting at 15:00 hours from Thiri Mangala Hall to the main street and back to Hall from eastern street of Maungdaw, said an elder from Maungdaw.
“The ceremony will start from 16:00 hour until the monks enter to the Thiri Magala Hall.”
“The local Buddhist community and government staffs from Maungdaw are joining in the ceremony.”
