Boy dies in car accident in Maungdaw

Maungdaw, Arakkan State: A boy who is the son of a Nasaka officer died today at about 9 a.m. in a car accident while he was going to the Lound Don of Nasaka area number 5 of Maungdaw from  Aung Mingala Nasaka out-post camp for celebrating the water festival, said a local elder  on condition of anonymity.

The body was identified as Maung Khin, age 12, who hailed from Aung Min Gala Nasaka out-post camp under the Nasaka Headquarters of Maungdaw Township. The boy was going to the Lound Don by motorbike to celebrate the water festival. On way to Loung Don, the motorbike he was traveling in met the accident with a vehicle.

The accident was occurred on the Bawlibazar-Maungdaw road. The boy died on the spot, said the local elder.

The body was sent to the Nasaka Headquarters and handed over to his parents. The body will be buried tomorrow or after three days, said another local villager.
