IMNA : In Kamamet village, Mudon Township, Mon State, there are over 2500 eligible voters, but only 1000 residents placed their vote.

Kamamet Basic Education High School, Mudon Township, Mon StateThe Election Commission has taken it upon themselves to tick (vote) for the United Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) for those remaining absent voters.

In Kyong Pike village, around 50 USDP members lined up and voted, under a different eligible voter’s name, for the USDP. When the All Mon Regions Democracy Party (AMDP) reported this to the Election Commission, the Election Commission made no efforts to redo the ballots, reported a Kyone Paik villager.

Villagers in Mawlamine have also experienced difficulties with the voting process. There are many Mon residents in Sayegyi Koun quarter and Myine Tha Yar quarter, One family, with six names on the collected voting list (held by the Election Commission) reported only being allowed two people’s votes out of the six family members.
