San Maung Than — The Arakan Patriot Party’s leader, U Maung Maung Saw, believes that having a national blueprint to build Arakan State is an advantage that his party has over other parties.
“Our party’s main advantage is having a national blueprint for how to build Arakan State, which other parties don’t have. When we are campaigning, we tell the public how the party has been established and we explain our policies on Arakan politics and union politics,” U Maung Maung Saw told Narinjara News.
U Maung Maung Saw, has been delivering speeches at campaign rallies in Kyauktaw and Sittwe while the party's deputy leader, U Zaw Win Maung, has been campaigning in other townships.
The Arakan Patriot Party’s signboards have been damaged twice in Sittwe and the party has reported the incidents to the township commission and the police station.
“Such kind of vandalism against signboards tends to happen during the election period. It didn’t only happen in Arakan State. It also happened in other states and regions. It tends to happen in other countries as well,” said U Maung Maung Saw.
According to U Maung Maung Saw, the Arakan Patriot Party believes it will win all 16 constituencies that the party is contesting
