Book on Rakhine customs 'A Little Boy On Ramree Island' released

It is reported that the book "A Little Boy On Ramree Island" written and published in English about Rakhine customs has been released and is being bought by many people.

The book was co-authored by author Aung Zay Mong and his wife Jill Brock Mong.

The book is based on the life of Ramree Island after 1980 and the rural nature of the Rakhine region.

Aung Zay Mong, the author of the book, said, "The main reason for writing this book is to let future generations know that it existed like this, and so that interested people from all over the world can read it. To let the new generations who come from Rakhine to the world know that it also existed. Rather than becoming the best seller, my wife and I want this book to be a record of the existence of this in the Laytaung village of Ramree Island in the future."

The book has 385 pages and 34 chapters, and it was released live on February 6 at the American Amazon KDP Books Store.

The price is $6.99 for the e-book, $12.99 for the regular book, and $19.99 for the hardcover, respectively.

Currently, the book "A Little Boy on Ramree Island" is one of the best sellers and is the #1 best seller on Amazon Sale Rank (New Released Teens and Young Adult Adventure and Adventures ebook). Additionally, it is ranked #6 on the 100 Best Sellers and #95 on the Teen and Adult Biography eBooks list.

Aung Zay Mong said that the book "A Little Boy on Ramree Island" can be ordered and read in countries where Amazon can be used, and it is also planned to be published and distributed in Myanmar.

"There is also a plan to publish the book there. But we don't know how it will turn out in terms of the political situation. We will plan later," he said.

The writer, Aung Zay Mong, is a native of Laytaung, Ramree Township, Rakhine State, and moved to Ohio in the United States in 2010.
