Teknaf, Bangladesh:  A Turkish media team from radio, television and TRT-1 and a NGO the Muslim Aids (UK) visited the unofficial Dum Dum Mea Burmese refugee makeshift camp (Tal) on May 11, at noon, according to a shed leader (Mazee) of the camp.

The team led by the Turkish National Television Chief Mohammed Ramjan Osterk was accompanied by three other Turks. Saif Ahmed, the president of the Muslim Aids of UK was also present in the team.

At the makeshift camp the team asked the refugees about their condition and saw the situation of the Tal refugees. They also took photographs of the camp, said another Majee.

Bangladesh was represented by officer Mohamed Nazamul Hoque, advocate Nasir Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury and Al Hajj Ali Hassan Chowdhury when the foreign team visited the Tal camp.

Before visiting the makeshift camp, the chief of the Muslim Aids (UK) had visited the Teknaf Upazila Chairman Ultaf Hussain.

The Tal camp is totally inappropriate and insufficient for the number of refugees, especially given its unfortunate location between the water and the main high way road. At present, over 10,000 refugees are living in the makeshift camp.
