Teknaf, Bangladesh: Mosquito nets were distributed to the official refugees by the Red Crescent Society on October 3 in the Nayapara camp, said a refugee from Nayapara refugee camp.
“United Nations High Commissioners for Refugees (UNHCR) donated the mosquito nets for the both camps Nayapara and Kutupalong.”
“The refugee family who has 1- 4 members, received one mosquito net where 5-7 member family got 2 and over 8 member got three, according to a refugee committee member.
In the refugee camp, malaria and fever is going up as poor treatment and care, said community health worker.
“It is good for the refugees as they can use mosquito nets and prevent from malaria risk.”
A widow refugee said that she is very happy for receiving mosquito net after two years.
