August-30-2011--- Three Burmese Army soldiers were killed on Tuesday evening, during fighting lasting for 20 minutes with the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) at Yinglung Village, near Mungli Hka stream, in Dawhpum Yang sub-township, Manmaw (Bhamo) District, in Kachin State, Northern Burma, witnesses said.

Witnesses said at least three soldiers died and an unknown number injured. They all were from the Dawhpum Yang-based Infantry Battalion No. 142.

The government troops were ambushed by KIA troops from Brigade 5, said KIA officials.
