People's Militia Force announces to reward a million kyats for arresting anti-military youths

The People’s Militia Force has announced that a reward will give a million kyats to those who can arrest the young protestors against the Military Dictators in Kanpaikti Township in the Eastern Win Maw Township on the China Border.

On May 5, young people protesting against the military dictatorship staged a silent strike which “Down with the dictator. Do not listen to dogs. The Spring Revolution must succeed. Join In CDM” were posted on the streets and on the walls.

There is an announcement to the Military informers (Dalan) to arrest people who are taking part in the first anti-coup movement in Kanpaikti Township, a young protester told KNG news.

“From the beginning, no one took part in the anti-dictatorship revolution in our township. We, young people really want to protest. But the security is very strict here. There is nothing we can do because we have police, soldiers, the Border Guard Force (BGF) and the People’s Militia Force here. Even now, it is written only in text. Even so, the People’s Militia Force ordered the Military informers to arrest and reward them a million kyats”, he said.

The Kanpaikti area is the territory of The New Democratic Army – Kachin (NDAK) by the leader, U Zakhon Taint Yein before.

Now, it is under the control of the Border Guard Force (BGF) and the People’s Militia Force.

The People’s Militia Force in Kachin State has sealed their vow of loyalty to the Military coup and they are not on the side of the civilians according to the expression by the local residents.
