The Chief Minister visited Tan Bo village in Kalemyo with his official entourage and held meetings with local people on 18 May 2011, said a local in Kalemyo.

“One person from each household attended the meeting. The Chief Minister promised the people to appoint one teacher for every 20 students in the region and to promote rail servicing system,” said a participant from Tan Bo.

The Chief Minister’s team left Tan Bo village the same day and visited the Manipur river hydro electric power project site.

The Chief Minister donated 200 lakh Kyats for a primarily school in Hmun Lai village, Kalemyo, Sagaing division.

“The Chief Minister directed local people to contribute Kyat 150 lakhs, because the school construction will cost around Kyat 350 lakhs,” said a local from Hmun Lai.

The village authorities collected Kyat one thousand from each household in the village for the Chief Minister’s reception before the team’s arrival in the village.
