Heroin and stimulant tablets seized in Sagaing

Myanmar authorities seized narcotic drugs -- heroin and stimulant tablets -- in Sagaing region, Xinhua reported.

A total of 740 grams of heroin worth 74 million kyats (49,333 U.S. dollars) and 2,000 stimulant tablets were confiscated from a motor bike by anti-narcotic taskforce in Homalin township of the region on Wednesday.

On the same day, 17.4 kilograms of opium were seized by the township police personnel from a vehicle in Pindaya township of Shan state.
