The Burmese majority Burma influences over the ethnic minorities Karenni people' operating areas of lead ventures in Pasaung and Mawchi Township, Karenni State.

The Majority Burma's mining of natural resources have caused mass relocating to ethnic Karenni people and uprooting communities, while the ethnic themselves severely harmed the environment, a resident said.

"They (the majority Burma) harass the livelihoods of ethnic people by current mining operating processes. Seemed, likely to influence in big projects."

Meanwhile, ining processes in Karenni is one of a big business ventures for Karenni people, which now are heavily influences by Burma majority.

The Mawchi mine in Karenni state was once the world’s most important source of tungsten, but locals there have now moved towards lead mining. The job is dangerous, however, as workers inhale toxic fumes and toil for hours in hazardous conditions.

The miners use traditional methods to dig the mine and smell the minerals, where no protective gear is used, so workers inhale the hazardous smoke and on the daily basics. sawR1000.
