Seven more Burmese nationals arrested
Teknaf, Bangladesh : Seven more Burmese nationals were arrested last night by police in Teknaf from Shapuri Dip while they were preparing for a trip to go to Malaysia across the Bay of Bengal , said a local villager.

The police also seized an engine boat and arrested four other Bangladeshis.
According to an official, acting on a tip off, a section of policemen went to Shapuri Dip under Teknaf union and arrested seven Burmese nationals. Sensing the presence of police the others fled from the spot.
The operation was led by an Assistant Sub-Inspector of Teknaf police station.
The arrested persons are now in police custody of Teknaf police station. The Burmese nationals are likely to be pushed back to Burma and the Bangladeshis will be sent to Cox's Bazaar jail.
Earlier, on March 23, seven Burmese nationals were arrested from the same spot by the Teknaf police.
A Bangladeshi trader Rofique from Shapuri Dip wondered why Rohingyas from Arakan state are leaving for Malaysia by undertaking a risky journey across Bay of Bengal during inclement weather.
