San Maung Than, Narinjara News — Representative from over 160 villages in Arakan State's Pauktaw Township attended an electoral educational workshop held in Pauktaw on October 18th.
The workshop was led by the Pauktaw Social Network and supported by the Scholar Institute, a group that is part of the Tat Lann Project.
“The aim of giving this educational workshop is for villagers to learn how to vote, how to avoid giving spoiled ballots and understand the three parliaments which they are going to vote for,” Pauktaw Social Network’s chairman U Oo Kyaw Win told Narinjara News.
During the educational workshop, the villagers explained the way in which ballots become valid and spoiled and which candidates will be running in their townships under respective parties’ logos.
“A single ballot can make a crucial change for Myanmar and Arakan State. We urged the public to vote for the candidates who will create good political systems in the post-2015 election,” said U Oo Kyaw Win who organized the training.
