Maungdaw, Arakan State: Personnel of Nasaka, Burma's border security force from Sector number 7 were into security exercises on the Naf River from November 29 to December 1, sources said

The exercise was led by Sector Commander Major Kyi Hlaing including most the Nasaka personnel under in the sector with three high speed water-crafts, four speed boats and some rowboats. The exercise was held on the Naf River and the mouth of the Naf River.

The Nasaka exercise comes following hostilities with Bangladesh on November over Burma's exploration of gas from Bay of Bengal. They are gearing up security on their side, said a close aide of Nasaka.     

On November 30, during the exercise Nasaka at about 10 pm saw two boats were sailing from Burma side to Bangladesh near the St. Martin Island. The Nasaka Commander ordered following the suspected boats. The boats were ordered to stop, but the boats picked up speed and fled into Bangladesh. At that moment, the Nasaka fired ten rounds and seized the boat with 50 cattle and 15 crew members who were coming from Kyaukpru and Rambre town, the aide added.

The Sector Commander handed over the seized cattle to the Nasaka Headquarter and the Deputy Director of Nasaka Myint Khine from Kyikan Pyin ( Kawarbil) distributed awards to the sector 7 for their pro active role, said sources.
