A yaba user set fire to his house and the one next door in Muse Township in Northern Shan State, Burma on 11th November.
Sai Than Maung, a man of about 40 years of age, who lived near to a monastery in Mant-Wane Ward, set fire to his house and the house next door after taking yaba (methamphetamine tablets) at about 2pm on 11th November.
He was arrested by the police.
Sai Kham from Son Zaw Ward said: “Sai Than Maung got foolish after taking yaba and he set fire to his house. It burnt down completely and a neighbouring home was also half burnt down. The police came and arrested him, he lived alone in the house.”
Mant-Wane Ward is an area on the outskirts of Muse Township beside the road that runs from Nam Hkam in Burma to Kyel Gaung on the Chinese side of the border.
