U Kyaw Thaung told Mizzima on 6th November that the Myanmar embassy team has held discussions about it and will submit the complaint to the president on 7th November.

U Kyaw Thaung was surprised to find himself on the immigration blacklist when he arrived at Yangon International Airport on 4th November, accompanying the parents of the two suspects back to Myanmar.

“The airport immigration officials took me to their office and showed me the letter saying I have been put on the blacklist. The letter says that the secretary of the Myanmar Overseas Employment Agencies Federation filed a complaint against me because I have three passports,” he said.

“But the organization, which filed the complaint against me, is not officially registered, so putting me on the blacklist is nonsense. Moreover, I did not commit any political crime,” added U Kyaw Thaung.

U Kyaw Htin Kyaw, the secretary of the Myanmar Overseas Employment Agencies Federation, said he also filed the complaint against U Kyaw Thaung in October because he alleges he incited workers to disrupt a Thai-Myanmar agreement on the employment of workers

“He holds a passport issued for Myanmar illegal workers in the border areas, another passport with a Thai work permit and a red passport issued in Myanmar. And he incited workers to disturb the government system,” said U Kyaw Htin Kyaw.
