A Japanese national has donated USD 50,000 in order to renovate the primary schools in Arakan State, said a report published in the government run newspaper of Burma.
The donation was offered by Ikka Akinari, a resident of Tokyo, which was carried by Han Jaehteoh, another Japanese citizen, who had arrived in Burma to hand over the amount (USD 50,000).
The donation is meant for the renovation of schools in Arakan which is expected to encourage the children to go to schools, added the report.
Han Jaehteoh handed over the amount to Sidagu Saradaw Nyanisara, a prominent monk in the locality on November 18 last during a ceremony held at Sidagu Biman hall located in Dagon township of Rangoon.
Carrying the message of Ikka Akinari from Tokyo, Han Jaehteoh addressed the gathering and appreciated the people of Burma for their simplicity and also the country as a beautiful one.
He also emphasized on improving the children education in the country, which is slowly marching for democracy. If the standard of children education does up, the country would be developed in the coming days, added Han Jaehteoh.
In an earlier occasion too, Ikka Akinari donated Kyat 50 million for a primary school and Kyat 150 million for a hospital at Pinlaybu region of Sagaing division in central Burma.
