Human traffickers arrested at Yangon bus station
Yangon Divisional Police has announced that a human trafficking ring was busted in the act of attempting to smuggle a 22-year-old woman to Muse on the Sino-Myanmar border on June 9.
The police said they received a tip-off about the human traffickers and apprehended them at Aung Mingalar Bus Station on Sunday. Four suspects were named and said to be from Hlaing Tharyar Township in Yangon. Another named suspect, a 50-year-old woman, was said to be from Muse.
The 22-year-old victim was said to be from Ayeyarwaddy region.
