Deputy Minister Zin Yaw invited Ambassador Ahmad Faisal Bin Muhamad on Tuesday to his office in Naypyitaw where he presented the Malaysian diplomat with a letter calling on his government to take action against the gang members who attacked three migrant workers in separate attacks last week, and urged Malaysia to protect Myanmar migrant workers.

Myanmar Ambassador to Malaysia Tin Latt also made an address on Malaysian TV on June 2 describing how one Myanmar citizen had been murdered and two injured when they were attacked in the district of Selayang by an unidentified gang of youths.

The two wounded men are currently receiving treatment in a local Selayang hospital, but are said to be in a stable condition.
