CNF’s Supreme Council member meets locals
CNF Supreme Council member, Pu Thang Ning Kee, and Salai Aung Ling Thang, a member of the organizing committee, spoke with residents in Zophaung and Hla Tui villages in Mindat Township, in southern Chin state on Jan.24.
During the meetings, the “27-point agreement between the government and CNF was clarified by Pu Thang Ning Kee” according to Salai Aung Ling Thang who also explained the Chin armed group’s background to the villagers.
In December, CNF travelled to Rangoon for the second round of Union level peace talks with the government.
The CNF also travelled to Mindat Town on Jan. 25 where they were welcomed by officials and residents.
