Chin civilian social group formed to aid suffering
A new civilian social club for those suffering from grief and bereavement was formed by a non-profit organization in Paletwa Town, in southern Chin state. The club that started on Dec.29 is not affiliated to any political party.
One Paletwa’s hospital employee who is in the organizing committee said: “I hope that the social group will contribute to the good health of the local people in rural Paletwa Township. I hope that local people will donate.”
During a planning meeting the 175 participants donated 190, 000 Kyats (US $221.57). The Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) gave 150,000 Kyats (US $174.92).
The group officially started operating in the Kimo Hall.on Jan.1.
