Buthidaung, Arakan State:  Three Rohingya Muslims died after being tortured in a jail in Buthidaung jail, in early Oct., according to a local trader, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

“They were arrested from Maungdaw south by the Burma’s security forces during the communal violence.”

Two of men have been identified as; Moulvi Salamat, from Lamba Gona, Abdu Salam, from Washa village. The third one is from Gudu Sara village, in Maungdaw south.

The bodies of the men weren’t given to their families, but instead buried in a Rohingya cemetery nearby, according to an elder who spoke with Kaladanpress.

Other Rohingya prisoners who have been released have complained of suffering health problems related to their incarnation.

“My health is very bad. I’ve been suffering from skin disease and edema from being in jail. They didn’t give us proper treatment while we were being held,” said one recently released prisoner, who didn’t want to be named.

Another recently released prisoner said they weren’t allowed to bath each day, and the food was substandard.
