“We arrested the Rohingyas from different points along the border – Teknaf and Ukhiya of eight different points -- and the detainees were held from morning until afternoon.”

According to BGB Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Jahid Hassan, eight of the Rohingyas were arrested from Nila, six from Shapourdip, two from Teknaf, ten from Dum Dum Meah, and one from Unchi Prang.
BGB 17 Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Mohammed Khalequzzaman said that ten Rohingyas were arrested on the border areas of Taungbro, Palong Khali and Reju Amtoli along the Ukhiya-Naikkhon Chori border. He reported that they were pushed back to Burma that evening.
