TNLA Seizes 3 Military Council Outposts in Namhsan and Clashes Continue in parts of Muse township

The Ta'ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) has taken control of three Junta outposts, including the township police station, in Namhsan Township northern Shan State, while intense clashes are ongoing, locals said.

On the morning of December 12th, Namhsan experienced artillery shelling from the Military Council, as well as aerial bombardments TNLA reported.

"We heard that the  TNLA took over the police station and the general administration office. When the Military Council fired artillery from Mantong, the shells hit Namhsan, causing destruction and casualties. Air-strikes are also happening nearby. The situation is worst in Mongsai ward in Namhsan, with the Military Council firing short-range rockets as well”, a local told KNG.

Phone lines and internet networks are also disrupted, making it extremely difficult to establish contact with Namhsan.

Meanwhile clashes persisted between the Military Council and the Three Brotherhood Alliance near the 105-Mile tollgate in Muse Township, northern Shan State, until the night of December 11th, with the Military Council employing air supports.

"At 105-Mile, the conflict escalated, with three rounds of attacks involving a helicopter and a fighter jet bombing. The clashes, ongoing in the preceding days, intensified a bit more on December 11th", a Muse resident said.

Media outlets situated in northern Shan State reported civilian casualties resulting from the airstrikes. However, KNG could not confirm the precise situation in the conflict zone due to communication challenges.
