Muse Residents Fear both Junta’s Shelling and Resistance Drone Attacks

The lives of local residents in Muse Township, Shan State, are endangered due to drone attacks, and shelling as it is increasingly is engulfed in a war zone..

The Three Brotherhood Alliance employs drones to target homes where the Military Council soldiers are hiding or stationed. Locals report that due to the escalating conflict in Muse, phone lines and internet networks have been offline for approximately a week.

"The fights are getting worse every day. Phone and internet are blocked, and there's been no electricity for a week. There are a lot of thieves around too”, another Muse resident said.

On December 2nd, an aerial bombardment by the Military Council on Seilant village in Muse resulted in injuries to a man, a woman, and a child, and caused the destruction of at least three houses.

Amidst clashes in several villages in Muse, the Three Brotherhood Alliance employed drone attacks, while the Military Council relentlessly utilized artillery shelling. Some locals find themselves caught in the crossfire from both sides, living in constant fear for their lives.

"The Three Brotherhood Alliance uses drones, and the Military Council relies on artillery and airstrikes. Their fighting puts locals in danger, and even staying at home is insecure now”, a 40-year-old Muse resident told Shan Herald.
