Some Yangon youth strikers, residents arrested on tip-off from informant during public pledge

The regime troops, on the tip-off from an informant, beat and arrested over ten youth strikers and residents during a public pledge in Yangon on July 31.

The military council blocked the roads and arrested some youths who participated in the event.

The regime also arrested Nan Mytta teashop owner and its employees from No.7 ward in Hlaing Township, the locals told Than Lwin Times.

Locals said that the junta forces also closed the road in the neighborhood and forced pedestrians to kneel down, yelling and insulting them.

The young men staged rallies in Yangon against the military dictatorship on July 31.

It is reported that the tea shop owner and employees were not released until the morning of August 1 and the shop was still closed.
