A married couple from Mantaw village in Kale township killed and burned Military Council

A married couple from Mantaw village, located on Kale-Gangaw highway road, south of Kale Township, was killed by Military Council troops on the night of February 8, and both of them were burned along with their house.

Those killed were 52-year-old Pu Hram Mang and his wife 32-year-old Ma Moe Kalayar. On February 8, around 11:00 p.m., the Military Council forces entered their home and opened fire without reason, according to people

close to them.

It is reported that the Military Council forces killed Pu Hram Mang and his wife by tying them to their hands and then burning the house together.

U Maung Cho, Pu Hram Mang's father-in-law, said, “I live in the forest, so I only know when people come and tell me. My daughter and her husband were both killed. The house also burned down. I don't like doing such inhuman acts to my daughter.

The body has been buried in Sharpho's Christian cemetery.

In Mantaw village of Kale township, because the Military Council forces and the People's Defence Force often clash, most of the villagers have been fleeing the war in Kale town, other villages and farms for more than 1 year.

The murdered Pu Hram Mang and his wife are said to have left behind 2 children.

On February 9 at 6:00 p.m., 19-year-old Maung Bee Lo Thang (aka) Bee Bee, the son of Lautu Baptist Church pastor, was killed by the Military Council forces in Taung Zalat ward of Kale  township.
