During the 10-day battle between the Chinland Defense Force (CDF) led by the Chin NationalArmy (CNA) and the Military Council forces in Chin State, at least 45 soldiers
of the Military Council were killed, and 3 members of the Chinland Defense Force (CDF) were martyred.
On February 4, between Matupi town and Rezua town in Zotung area of CAN’s Brigade 1 area, the Military Council forces, patrolling with 130-150 troops, were attacked for 6 days by CAN’s joint forces, CDF-Matupi, CDF-Zotung, and CDF-Mara. At least 40 Military Council soldiers were killed and more than 20 wounded, the statement said.The fighting ended on February 11.
CNA and CDF-Thantlang forces in Thantlang town in CAN’s Brigade 3 area captured 6 Military Council soldiers and policemen with weapons on February 1, and again on February 8,when they attacked and captured the police station and general administration department, occupied by Military Council forces, the statement said.
On February 4, CNA and CDF-Hualngoram who were transporting food near Laitui village in the area of CNA Brigade 4 were ambushed by the ZRA under the Military Council and exchanged fire, killing one ZRA soldier and wounding two others, according to the CNF.
From February 1 to February 12, the Military Council forces bombed and fired at least 10 times with warplanes and military helicopters. Currently, the tactical command center in Hakha town continues to fire artillery shells towards Thantlang.
During the 10-day battle that took place in Chin State, at least 45 soldiers of the Military Council were killed, and more than 50 weapons and a large amount of ammunition were seized from them.
During the battle, 2 CNA comrades were injured and 3 comrades were killed while fighting for self-determination for the Chin state and Chin nationals, CNF announced.
